Charter Schools in Montgomery County

I know that Montgomery County has a good school system and new systems are being implemented to increase student performance; but I believe that Montgomery County needs more charter schools. All the other counties around Montgomery County have many charter school programs why don't we have the same in Montgomery County. It will really help our children our especially those with learning disabilities. My daughter is in the IEP program and has been in the program since 2nd grade but no improvements or progress in her learning, I am afraid she will remain in the program until she graduates out of high school. The program is good but it enables children not to exceed, it makes them comfortable because they can learn at their own pace but as we all know when she goes off to college she wont be able to keep up. With a charter school in place these students can be placed in programs where they have goals and in-order to excel they must meet their goals. Also Art and sports programs are being taken out of the school because of budget cuts many children are loosing interest in participating in education programs because there aren't enough extracurricular activities. Charter programs are the best way to satisfy our children's educational needs.
